Product Details-
There is a particular kind of beauty that only comes from imperfection — from the slight waviness of a hand-drawn line, the organic variation in a resist-dyed stripe, the evidence of a human hand at work. This indigo blue shibori Chanderi silk cotton saree carries that beauty from edge to edge.
The body is covered in fine horizontal shibori stripes — created by folding and binding the fabric before dyeing so that the bound areas resist the indigo and emerge as soft white lines against the deep blue ground. No two stripes are perfectly identical. Each one has its own slight variation in width, its own gentle curve, its own personality. Together they create a surface that feels like moving water — rhythmic, organic, endlessly alive.
The pallu shifts to a different shibori technique — a fine grid or net pattern created by binding the fabric in a different configuration before dyeing, producing small white squares across the indigo ground. A border of teardrop resist shapes edges the transition between body and pallu, and a delicate golden zari line frames the border.
This saree is a conversation between indigo and resist, between control and chance, between the dyer's intention and the fabric's response. It is for the woman who understands that the most interesting things are often the ones that cannot be exactly replicated.
Works beautifully for office wear — the stripe pattern is graphic and contemporary — and for casual elegant occasions where you want to wear something that invites a second look.
Pair it with a plain white or plain cream blouse for a clean, timeless contrast.

Wash & Care Instructions for Bagru Handblock Printed Chanderi Cotton Silk Saree
- First Wash: dry clean strongly recommended — shibori dyed sarees need careful handling in the first wash.
- Subsequent Washes: hand wash very gently in cold water with mild detergent
Wash completely separately — indigo dye will bleed onto other fabrics in early washes. - Drying: never wring or twist and dry in shade to prevent fading; avoid direct sunlight.
- Ironing: Use low to medium heat. Steam ironing is recommended for a crisp finish.
- Storage: Store in a muslin or cotton cloth to allow breathability and prevent moisture buildup. Keep away from direct sunlight and humidity.
- Zari Care: If the saree has zari borders, fold it inside out to preserve the shine and prevent tarnishing.
Following these steps will ensure the longevity and beauty of your saree for years to come!
Important Note:
We strive to showcase our sarees with the highest accuracy through high-quality images. However, please note:
- Color Variation: Every photograph on Ridhvi is completely unedited — no filters, no colour correction. We photograph every saree in natural light to show you the most accurate colour possible. That said, fabric colours may appear marginally different depending on your screen brightness and settings — the actual colour is always true to what we have captured. The real texture, sheen, and feel of the fabric is something you'll fully appreciate when it's in your hands.
- Handcrafted Beauty: Our sarees are handcrafted, so slight irregularities in prints, weaves, or embroidery are natural and add to their uniqueness. Also saree is completely made manually by our artisans so slight smudges might be seen on prints which are not considered damage to the saree.
- Fabric Care: To maintain the elegance of your saree, follow the recommended wash care instructions and handle with love.
We appreciate your understanding and assure you of the best quality and authenticity in every saree!
