Product Details-
If you have ever watched the ocean shift from turquoise at the shoreline to deep navy in the distance, you already understand the colour story of this saree. It moves — from bright teal at one end to deep navy blue at the other — with all the gradual, unhurried beauty of a natural transition.
This teal and navy blue ombre shibori Chanderi silk cotton saree is hand dyed — meaning the colour itself is not printed but immersed, absorbed, lived into the fabric. The ombre effect is achieved by graduating the dye from deep navy at the base to bright teal at the top, with a luminous white band where the two colours meet in the middle. Scattered across the navy section are small square bandhani-style motifs in white — each one created by tying tiny portions of fabric before dyeing so the tied points resist the colour and emerge as bright white squares. The teal section carries small diamond resist shapes in a similarly delicate pattern.
The golden zari border edge catches light against the deep navy with a warmth that ties the whole saree together beautifully.
This saree is genuinely unlike anything else in our collection — the ombre, the tie-dye, the teal-to-navy transition all combine into something that feels simultaneously modern and deeply rooted in Indian craft tradition. It is a saree that will make people stop and ask about it.
Works for small festive occasions, casual elegant wear, and any day when you want to wear something completely distinctive.
Pair it with a plain white blouse to echo the white resist marks, or a plain teal blouse to anchor the lighter end of the ombre.

Wash & Care Instructions for Bagru Handblock Printed Chanderi Cotton Silk Saree
- First Wash: dry clean strongly recommended — hand dyed ombre colours are most vulnerable in the first wash.
- Subsequent Washes: hand wash very gently in cold water with extremely mild detergent. Wash completely separately — dye will bleed onto other fabrics in early washes.
- Drying: never wring or twist as this can distort the ombre gradient and dry in shade to prevent fading; avoid direct sunlight.
- Ironing: Use low to medium heat. Steam ironing is recommended for a crisp finish.
- Storage: Store in a muslin or cotton cloth to allow breathability and prevent moisture buildup. Keep away from direct sunlight and humidity.
- Zari Care: If the saree has zari borders, fold it inside out to preserve the shine and prevent tarnishing.
Following these steps will ensure the longevity and beauty of your saree for years to come!
Important Note:
We strive to showcase our sarees with the highest accuracy through high-quality images. However, please note:
- Color Variation: Every photograph on Ridhvi is completely unedited — no filters, no colour correction. We photograph every saree in natural light to show you the most accurate colour possible. That said, fabric colours may appear marginally different depending on your screen brightness and settings — the actual colour is always true to what we have captured. The real texture, sheen, and feel of the fabric is something you'll fully appreciate when it's in your hands.
- Handcrafted Beauty: Our sarees are handcrafted, so slight irregularities in prints, weaves, or embroidery are natural and add to their uniqueness. Also saree is completely made manually by our artisans so slight smudges might be seen on prints which are not considered damage to the saree.
- Fabric Care: To maintain the elegance of your saree, follow the recommended wash care instructions and handle with love.
We appreciate your understanding and assure you of the best quality and authenticity in every saree!
